Burr Oak resident Mark Schroeder has changed his mind about accepting a plea offer from prosecutors.
Schroeder is accused of third degree burglary for a break-in at Silver Springs Golf Course in Ossian in July and with second degree theft for the alleged taking of material from Voltmer Electric in Decorah.
Earlier this month Schroeder indicated he would accept a plea bargain offered by prosecutors. But appearing in court on Tuesday, he told a judge he had changed his mind. That means Schroeder will go on trial April 30th on the charges stemming from the alleged theft of material from Voltmer Electric in Decorah and on May 21st on the charge of burglary at the Silver Springs Golf Course.
