Winneshiek County Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director is leaving her job

Winneshiek County Convention and Visitors Bureau Director Brenda Luzum is resigning to take a job at Upper Iowa University.  She will join the college's Advancement Department, working in the newly-created position of communications and outreach director.

Luzum has worked as Winneshiek County's tourism director for just under nine years.  "I am extremely excited for the new opportunity, but of course a bit sad to leave everyone I love in the tourism world," said Luzum.

Tourism currently has a $27 million impact on Winneshiek County--up $2 million from the previous year.  "I will forever be respectful of the importance this organization has on the entire region," said Luzum. "I extend the CVB best wishes in continuing to make incredible progress."
