Three Decorah HS students honored for being All-Academic football players

Three Decorah High School seniors were recognized Tuesday night for being named to the 2013 Academic All-State Football Team in Class 3A.

Dustin Cary, Nick Gossling, and Bryce Pierce were 3 of 44 student athletes from class 3A to receive academic all state honors from the Iowa Football Coaches Association.

In order to receive this honor members of the team must be a senior starter on their school's football team; must have a cumulative GPA of 3.7 or better at the end of their junior year; and must be involved in other extra-curricular activities.  

Dustin is the son of Lyle and Mary Beth Cary; Nick is the son of Scott and Stacey Gossling; and Bryce is the son of Scott and Lori Pierce.
