Inexperienced gardeners can get help in 2014

Decorah Urban Gardens (DUG) wants to help inexperienced gardeners have a successful home garden in 2014.

The group this spring and summer will be conducting its 4th annual Upstart Garden Project, where an all-volunteer DUG crew will help with site planning, plot preparation (sod removal and tilling), and a one-time leaf mulch delivery.  Selected participants also will be paired with experienced gardeners, who will offer advice and technical assistance throughout the gardening season.
