Appliance and electronics recycling event was a success

A weekend event to accept appliances and electronics for recycling is being termed a success.

City and county officials say over 300 items were brought to the lower Fareway parking lot on Saturday and Sunday.  While that is a lower total than last year's 500 items, last year was the first year of the special recycling and volume was expected to be higher then.

Saturday's and Sunday's event was especially used by people with electronics items to recycle.
