A "Winneshiek County Single Women's Social Network" is forming.
Organizer Pat Brockett says, "After losing my longtime spouse, a recurring issue has been not having someone to go to events with, help with small household tasks requiring more than just my two hands, and all those other things that were never a problem when there were two of us. Being single, whether through death, divorce or not marrying through choice or circumstance,, can be lonely and I know that there are others out there who are experiencing the same things I am. So why not help each other?"
The first and organizing meet will be a potluck held at 6:00 p.m. February 11th, at Pat Brockett's house
Members of the group will be given access to a member only website on which to post what they need. Other members can look at the postings and choose to respond or not. Access to the website can only be granted by Brockett to protect the privacy of the members.
If you are interested in attending the February 11 potluck or getting more information, call Pat Brockett at 563-277-1054.
