A team of students from Luther College has been chosen to compete in this year's national "Up to Us Campaign"--a project to increase campus engagement regarding the nation's long-term fiscal path.
The winning team will receive $10,000 and the chance to attend the Clinton Global Initiative University where they will be recognized by President Clinton.
The competition, sponsored by the Peter G. Peterson Foundation, Clinton Global Initiative University and Net Impact, will bring together students from 25 colleges and universities across the country to participate.
Each student team of up to five members will develop a campaign to educate and engage their campus community on America's growing debt and how it could impact their future. At the end of the five-week campaign, each team will be assessed by a panel of distinguished judges on its effectiveness at raising awareness, increasing personal connections, and inspiring action on campus and beyond.
