Posted: Wed, Jan 22, 2014 8:53 PM

Thank you to the dozens of people sending e-mails approving the suggestion of a project to show how grateful Decorah is to the owners and staff of Cho Sun restaurant for their support of community projects.

A "Community Get Well Card" will be circulated in Decorah to present to the staff and owners of Cho Sun restaurant in the wake of their serious fire.

Starting Sunday, sheets of paper will be available for people to sign at local banks, restaurants, businesses and churches.

We need volunteers willing to be responsible for picking up these papers, taking them to a location, then picking them up again.

Volunteers are needed for Decorah Lutheran, First Lutheran, St. Benedict's and Decorah Methodist (Check with the offices at these churches to see whether they will allow this)

Volunteers are needed for Decorah Bank, NE Security Bank, Citizens Bank, Marine Bank, Farmers & Merchants Bank, Rubaiyat, Mc Caffrey's, La Rana, Mabe's, Happy Joe's, Oneota Co-op, Donlon's (Check first with the businesses to see whether they will allow this)

If you're willing to help, send an e-mail to news@decorahnews.com for complete details.

Thanks already for pledges of support from Bank of the West, Viking Bank and Trust, KDEC Radio, Decorah Newspapers, Rubaiyat and Culver's.  This is another example of why Decorah is such a great community!

Again, if you're willing to help, send an e-mail to news@decorahnews.com for complete details.
