Additional information released about arrest of Decorah man on sex abuse charges

Decorah Police have released additional information about an arrest they made on Sunday.

35-year-old Jerome Sanderson of Decorah was taken into custody after Decorah Police officers served a warrant.  Sanderson was charged with five counts of 3rd Sex Abuse. 

Decorah Police say Sanderson allegedly engaged in sex acts with a victim aged 14-15 years old during a relationship lasting from the fall of 2012 through the summer of 2013. 

Sanderson made an initial appearance on five counts of Third Degree Sexual Abuse, then was released after posting bond.

On Tuesday Sanderson returned to court and Judge Margaret Lingreen ruled that probable cause existed for a trial to be held on the charges.  A trial date of March 26th has been scheduled.
