Decorah's Cho Sun restaurant suffered major fire damage early Wednesday morning.
Decorah firefighters arrived at the scene around 1:30 a.m. and found heavy fire was coming from the west side of the building. They were able to stop the spread of the fire to other parts of the building.
No damage estimate is available at this time; however there is extensive fire damage to the west side of the building and smoke, heat and water damage to the rest of the building. No injuries were reported. The investigation into the cause of the fire is continuing.
The Decorah Fire Department was assisted by the Calmar and Ossian Fire Departments as well as the Winneshiek Medical Center Ambulance Service, the Decorah Police Department, Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department, Alliant Energy and Black Hills Energy.
