The National Weather Service says the temperature in Decorah won't rise above zero until some time Wednesday.

Wind chills of -40 to -60 are expected from Sunday night through Tuesday morning.  The coldest wind chills will be Monday morning--down to -60 below at times.  Highs Monday will reach only in the teens below zero.

The NWS say wind chills will be the biggest impact of the cold wave.  Wind chill readings will sink to 55 below to 60 below zero Sunday night and Monday.  Wind chill readings will "rise" to 40 below to 45 below zero on Monday night and Tuesday.  Temperatures will begin to rise Tuesday night, reaching 10 above zero on Wednesday.
