2013 was the fifth wettest year in Decorah in the last 111 years during which precipitation records have been kept.

Otherwise, 2013 was slightly cooler than normal in Decorah, with an average temperature of 45.9 degrees, 0.35 degrees less than the annual average. Much of that difference was due to cold temperatures in March and April.
