Spillville man has Winneshiek County's first traffic accident of 2014

A Spillville man has the dubious honor of having the first Winneshiek County traffic accident of 2014.

Winneshiek County Sheriff's Deputies say 20-year-old Bradley Klimesh of Spillville lost control of his truck while driving west on Bridge Street in Spillville.  The truck slid through the stop sign intersection at S. Main Street, struck a utility pole, hit a tree and then a house.  Klimesh allegedly left the scene of the accident, but he was located at a nearby residence, along with his truck.
