UPDATE: 2010 Luther College graduate killed in Wisconsin traffic accident

2010 Luther College graduate Leander Vethanayagamony was killed Monday morning in a two-car crash just west of Dodgeville, Wisconsin, according to the Iowa County Sheriff's Office in Dodgeville.

Police say 60-year-old Sally Brownell of Linden, Wisconsin was traveling west on Highway 18 when her van drifted into the shoulder and spun into the eastbound lane, hitting the car driven by Vethanayagamony.

Vethanayagamony was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
