TOP STORY: The company that owns the Hotel Winneshiek is on a buying spree

The company that owns Hotel Winneshiek in Decorah, "Rebound Hospitality," is in the midst of expansion in Iowa and Minnesota.

The Des Moines Register is reporting that Rebound Hospitality has purchased "The Suites of 800 Locust" in Des Moines.  Rebound Hospitality paid $3.27 million for the 51-room hotel, according to a deed filed Monday with the Polk County Recorder.

At the same time, the chief executive officer of Rebound Enterprises, Brett Reese, has finalized plans to open a new restaurant in Faribault, Minnesota.  The Northfield, Minnesota Northfield News reports that Reese has received $80,000 in grants and loans from The Faribault Economic Development Authority to help open the restaurant in downtown Faribault.

Rebound Hospitality also owns the Archer in Northfield and Lost Lake Lodge near Nisswa, Minnesota.
