City of Decorah accepting Christmas trees

Did you have a good Christmas?  As the Decorah area returns to work on Thursday--or at least some of us do--it might be time to start picking up from the Christmas celebration.

The Decorah Street Department will be collecting Christmas trees starting Thursday at its office on Railroad Avenue.

All garland, tinsel, ornaments, lights and wires must be removed from the tree. No wreaths with wire and no flocked trees will be accepted.

Christmas trees can be dropped off from now through February 1st.
