Alliant Energy's solar energy rebate program is ending December 31st--sort of

An Alliant Energy pilot program for solar energy installation rebates has a deadline of December 31st--but that's only a requirement that interested people take an on-line assessment.

If the online self-assessment is favorable, an energy assessment performed by an Alliant Energy-designated assessor must be completed before construction can begin.  If the energy assessment is favorable, construction must have started to the point that the roof is completed before an Alliant Energy-designated assessor will make a site visit for a site assessment.  That step must be completed no later than April 1st.

Complete renewable rebate claim form and supporting documentation must be received by Alliant Energy no later than October 31st of 2014.
