Mc Intosh withdraws candidacy for at-large city council position

One of the three people who had indicated an interest in being appointed as an at-large Decorah City Council member has changed his mind.

Former mayoral candidate Jim McIntosh has withdrawn his candidacy for the seat that will open with the resignation of Decorah City Council member Rachel Vagts.

Mc Intosh's resignation leaves Tade Kerndt and Jarrad Walter as the two announced candidates for the position.  City council members have indicated they want to name a replacement for Vagts at the first city council meeting in January.
