St. Benedict students help Food Pantry

St. Benedict School students have wrapped up an effort on behalf of the First Lutheran Food Pantry.

Students collected food and paper items for the pantry.  They also had fund by creating sculptures out of the donated food items in a school-wide contest.  The seventh grade class won the contest by making a replica of the Titanic.

Students also collected items for a "birthday bag for Jesus" which contained a cake mix, frosting, birthday plates and napkins and a homemade Christmas card.

After all the food and paper goods were collected, members of the school's student council helped to stock the shelves at the Food Pantry with the donated items.
