ArtHaus has released its calendar of classes for the Winter/Spring session, with registration now open online. New classes begin in January.

Art classes for pre-school children are offered on Saturday mornings in ArtStudio for Tiny Masters.  Young artists age 4-5, 6-8, and 9-12 can register for old favorites plus new classes including Drawing & Painting, Photography, Illustrating, and Paper Exploration.

Performance classes for children include the Ballet and Tap program for children age 3 to 6, offered on Saturday mornings, as well as Tuesdays and Thursdays after school for students ages 7 and up.

Andrew Ellingsen returns for a second year of "Skape Sammen," the creative dance and xylophone ensemble offered in partnership with Decorah Community Schools on Monday afternoons at Carrie Lee for students age 9-12.  This year, director Kristen Underwood has joined Ellingsen, adding a theatre component to the class as the students express themselves through movement, music, and words.

Evening classes for adults include the return of Amy Weldon's six-week class "Turning Life into Fiction," Norma Refsal's workshop "Braided Pewter and Leather Bracelets," as well as "Mosaics" with Linda Elkins, "Photographing People" with Aaron Lurth, and drawing, painting, and collage classes with Ben Moore and Saray Frydenlund.

Early registration is encouraged. Tuition assistance is available for all youth programming thanks to support from The Depot Outlet and the many Friends of ArtHaus. To apply for tuition assistance, inquire upon registration.  For children attending after school classes, ArtHaus offers a Walking School Bus from John Cline Elementary School with a stop at Northeast Iowa Montessori.
