Decorah HS graduate Brett Van Sloten earns Second Team all-Big Ten honors

Decorah native Brett Van Sloten is one of eight University of Iowa football players to earn Big Ten Honors.

The Big 10 coaches selected Van Sloten for the second team of all Big Ten all-stars.  Van Sloten has been Iowa's most durable offensive lineman over the past two seasons, starting all 24 games.  He has anchored an offensive line that this season saw the same five offensive linemen start all 12 games.

It's the second honor of the fall for Van Sloten, who earlier won all-Academic honors.
