Winneshiek Energy District board president Jim Martin-Schramm says the agency has come up with new three-year goals. Martin-Scramm spoke Monday to Winneshiek County supervisors.
The new goals, developed by the board, call for WED to assist 500 homeowners over the next three years, including 150 low-to-moderate income homeowners. The board also wants to work with solar energy contractors on 200 new solar arrays over the next three years.
All this work, says Martin-Schramm, would result in reducing greenhouse emissions by 25 percent in Winneshiek County.
