Helping Services to take part in Giving Tuesday event

Helping Services will be collecting gifts from the public to donate to the agency's clients.

Fareway or Walmart gift cards can be donated to allow families to buy supplies for Christmas dinners.

Gifts that are always appreciated include Bratz or Barbie dolls; DVDs or music CDs; board games; Spiderman toys; trucks or tractors; Hotwheels; puzzles and Legos.  Toys are also needed for children under 18 months and for teens (they usually like gift cards or bath and body items).

Contact Helping Services at 800-383-2988 (in Iowa) or at (563) 382-2989 or info@helpingservices.org. They will tell you where to bring the NEW, unwrapped toy.  They will provide a donation receipt that can be used for tax purposes.

Gift donations must be made by Friday, December 6th.
