Two-car accident causes $15,000 in damages

Decorah Police have released details of a two-vehicle crash last Thursday that did a total of $15,000 in damages.

Police say 18-year-old Ashley Malli of Postville was traveling north on HIghway 52 just south of Pole Line Road.  She did not notice that 85-year-old Mark Sutton of Decorah had stopped to turn left onto Pole Line Road and she drive into the rear of Sutton's vehicle.

Neither driver was injured, but Malli's car had $9,000 in damages and Sutton's car had $6,000 in damages.  Malli was ticketed for failure to stop in an assured distance.
