Police warn: This is an active time of the year for scams

The Decorah Police Department is again warning the public about phone scams.

Police say if you receive a call stating that your computer has a virus, it's a scam in order to get access to your computer and download information about bank accounts and other financial investments.

Decorah Police say you should never give out personal financial information or any other information that will give thieves access to your money.
