Decorah FFA visits national FFA convention

The Decorah FFA sent seventeen of its members to the 2013 National FFA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky. High school members who attended were Maggie Brandel, Randi Jo Carolan, Shawnee Falck, Jacob Garza, Cole Horgen, Kenzie Hovden, Adam Knight, Aric Luzum, Isaac Luzum, Madison McCabe, Courtney Nordheim,  Ashley Schwartzoff, Hannah Sikkink, Ruth Sutton, Dalton Upton, Reed Upton and Leah Wroge.

The Decorah FFA members had the opportunity to experience a variety of leadership sessions along with a cave tour, a Dierks Bentley and Jana Kramer concert, a tour of Graeter's Ice Cream factory, the career show and exhibit hall, inspirational speakers including Louisville Cardinals Head Basketball coach Rick Pitino, National Agricultural Advocacy spokesperson Katie Pratt, the National FFA officers retiring addresses, the Louisville  Zoo, and a local tobacco farm.
 
In addition to Decorah High School FFA members who attended the national convention, three collegiate members of the Decorah FFA attended and were awarded with the American FFA Degree--Dustin Bigler, Andrew Luzum and Jordan Tietz.
