North Winneshiek School Board holds a brief discussion about the school's future

The North Winneshiek School Board had a short discussion Monday afternoon regarding the long range planning process for the school district.  Several ideas were discussed about future options for the school system.  There were no major decision made at this time; however, the dialogue will continue.  

The Decorah School Board will be coming to tour the North Winneshiek Building in the near future. 

In the meantime, the board approved a request to the School Budget Review Committee for additional allowable growth for unfunded enrollment changes for the current year.  The allowable growth request is for $120,020.   The request is for spending authority and not cash; therefore, it will not raise school district property taxes.
