October weather in Decorah was fairly normal

Temperatures and precipitation in Decorah in October were fairly similar to the historical averages.

Decorah weather observer Richard Bernatz says the average temperature of 50.7 degrees was just 0.5 degrees warmer than average.  Of the 117 Octobers for which records have been kept, 51 were warmer and 65 were cooler.

October precipitation was 2.48 inches, which was just 0.23 inches more than average.  For the past 12 months, Decorah has a precipitation surplus of over 13 inches.
