Winneshiek Medical Center creates Community Mental Health Fund

Winneshiek Medical Center has created the "Commemorative Fund for Community Mental Health."

The fund supports mental health first aid in communities served by the hospital.  $15,550 has been raised in contributions out of a $25,000 goal,

Area organizations will be able to apply for grants from the fund to support their local mental health projects.  The medical center has formed a community-based advisory committee to provide guidelines on the application process for non-profit organizations seeking support.

The WMC Foundation is seeking donors to support the community mental health fund and welcomes gifts of any amount.   Interested donors may give online by visiting www.winmedical.org/giving,or donors may send a check payable to WMC Foundation to Winneshiek MedicalCenter Foundation, 901 Montgomery Street. Decorah, IA   52101. Please indicate Mental Health Fund on the memo line.
