History Book Club's latest book now available at Decorah Library

The Decorah Public Library history book group will discuss Robert Edsel's "The Monuments Men: Allied Heroes, Nazi Thieves, and the Greatest Treasure Hunt in History."

Copies of the book are now available for check out at the library.  The book discussion will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, November 21st on the second floor of the library.

The book describes the work of a special force of American and British museum directors, curators, art historians and others who worked during World War II to prevent Adolph Hitler from destroying thousands of works of fine art.

The history book group in December will discuss "Undaunted Courage: Meriwether Lewis, Thomas Jefferson, and the Opening of the American West" by Stephen Ambrose.
