Will gas prices in Decorah fall below $3.00/gallon?

State gasoline experts say it's quite possible that gas prices will fall below $3.00 a gallon later this year.

With another price drop on Monday, gasoline is now being sold for $3.06 a gallon at most Decorah gas stations.

The Iowa-Minnesota AAA reported that the statewide average in Iowa for ethanol-blended gasoline on Sunday was $2.98 a gallon.  That's 30 cents a gallon lower than the price for the same fuel a year ago.

Gas industry experts say they expect prices to fall another 10 to 15 cents a gallon for the rest of the year
