Decorah man ticketed following Saturday accident

21-year-old Jacob Erickson of Decorah was given two traffic charges following an early morning accident on Valley View Drive Saturday.

Erickson told police he fell asleep while driving on the road at 4:00 a.m. Saturday.  His car went off the road and into a ditch, striking a manhole cover.

Erickson was not injured.  However, he was ticketed for failure to maintain control of his vehicle and for not having a valid drivers license.
