Four criminal charges have been filed against 35-year-old Holly Ann Yonkovic of Ossian in the wake of a continuing investigation into a report of sexual abuse by an adult male in the household.
The case dates back to August 1st, when the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department and Calmar/Ossian Police Department started a joint investigation into the allegations of sexual abuse of four children.
The case then spread to Waucoma, where Fayette County Sheriff's Deputies brought charges against 23-year-old Rodrigo Sandoval Estrada of Ossian for the alleged kidnapping and sexual abuse of a 13-year-old Waucoma girl. On August 16th U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers arrested Teodoro Candido for immigration violations.
Meanwhile, the investigation into Yonkovic continued, leading to the filing now of three counts of felony Child Endangerment and one count of aggravated misdemeanor Tampering with a Witness. Yonkovic originally had been accused of just one count of felony child endangerment. Yonkovic has a $20,000 bond and faces up to five years in prison.
Fayette County and Winneshiek County authorities say their investigation into the matter is still active and additional charges could be filed.
