Students at St. Benedict School have wrapped up their Can Mountain Week. Students and families collected a total of 47,078 refundable cans and plastic bottles last week, which included a donation of 10,000 cans ($500) from Decorah Bank and Trust.
That means the school was able to make a donation of $2,353.90 to Winneshiek County Habitat for Humanity. This is St. Bens' 17th year collecting for Habitat for Humanity.
