Coach Sloth talks to the kids

Ryan Sloth has led an interesting life.  He was a standout football player in high school, then played football for Iowa State and helped them win their first bowl game in 2000.  He also played for several Arena League teams after graduating.

But he has also appeared in six movies including "We Are Marshals" and "Leatherheads."

And then there are the books.  The Ames resident has begun writing several books for young adults, which is why he stopped in at North Winneshiek School recently.

"Coach Sloth," as he calls himself, posed for pictures with the kids and looked at the projects the North Winn kids did during their library class to give to him.
