The public is getting more familiar with provisions of the Affordable Care Act, now that the sign-up period has begun. Winneshiek County Public Health Administrator Krista Vanden Brink says she believes the more people learn about the program, the more they'll appreciate it.
For instance, the legislation requires participants to take a number of concrete steps for improving their health, such as having routine checkups and medical tests. Vanden Brink told decorahtvnews.com's Dr. David Gehling that taking these steps will allow Obamacare participants to keep getting low health insurance rates--and will help them to lead longer and healthier lives.
