Luther College requests a satellite voting station for absentee balloting

The Winneshiek County Auditor's office has received a petition for a single satellite absentee voting station at Luther College's Dahl Centennial Union for the upcoming City of Decorah election. 

County Auditor Ben Steines says he will work with Luther College officials and Student Senate representatives to schedule a date and time for the satellite station.  Says Steines, "Detailed information will be distributed as soon as it is available."

Last year three requests were filed for satellite voting stations on campus.  But Steines said operating three satellite absentee voting stations at Luther College would be an unnecessary expense.  Luther College officials agreed, and so one satellite absentee voting station was used.
