New police officer hired in Decorah

Newly-hired Decorah Police Officer Byron Hook

The Decorah Police Department has hired an officer to replace Dustin Carolan, who resigned earlier this year to take a similar job in Iowa City.

The new officer is Byron Hook, who had worked for four years at the Monona Police Department.  Officer Hook started work on October 1st.  He and his wife and three young children have now moved to Decorah
