Members of the Hannah Lee Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution have begun making Christmas stockings that will be sent to Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

On Saturday, group members brought out a variety of Christmas fabrics, scissors, rotary cutters, cutting boards, patterns, and pins to begin work on a special project.  Chapter members worked on some Christmas stockings and took pieces to be completed at home and returned to the November meeting so packages can be sent to the hospital well in advance of Christmas.

Wendy Novak of Decorah works at the sewing machine while Mona Day of Lansing looks on.
