This is National 4-H Week. Winneshiek County 4-Hers have scheduled a number of different activities locally to mark the week.
Wednesday will be 4-H Pride Day, when people are encouraged to wear green and/or 4-H apparel to show their support.
A 4-H celebration will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Extension Office on Short Street in Decorah. The moo-mobile will be on site to offer shakes. The John Deere Gators on the 4-H Endowment raffle will be available to view. KVIK radio will broadcast live from the celebration. The public is invited to attend.
The Winneshiek County 4-H Endowment is selling "FUNds for 4-H" raffle tickets. The prizes for the raffle include a TS 4x2 JD Gator, Child's Riding JD Gator, and a Push Toy JD Gator. Tickets are only $10. The drawing will be held at the 4-H Spaghetti Supper on Sunday, October 13th. You need not be present to win.
4-H'ers will conclude National 4-H Week by hosting the 12th Annual 4-H Spaghetti Supper and Silent Auction from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 13th, at Decorah Lutheran Church. Tickets are $6 per person and are available at the door. Kids 5 and younger will eat for free. Carryouts are available. Proceeds from this supper will go towards paying the 4-H Program Development fees.
