First Congressional District Republican race now has three candidates

State Representative Walt Rogers of Cedar Falls has become the latest candidate to seek the Republican nomination for Congress in Iowa's First Congressional District.

Rogers has served two terms in the Iowa House of Representatives.  He represents House District 60, which includes parts of Waterloo and Cedar Falls.

Rogers joins Steve Rathje and Rod Blum as official candidates for the congressional seat now held by Bruce Braley, who is running for U.S. Senate next year.
