NEICAC to begin taking applications for heating assistance

Northeast Iowa Community Action Corporation's Family Service Offices will start taking applications for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program beginning Tuesday.

Applications will be accepted from people who are age 60 and older or individuals who have a disability.   Individuals under the age of 60 who are not disabled cannot apply until November 1st.

In Winneshiek County, applications can be made at the NEICAC offices at 305 Montgomery in Decorah on Mondays from 8:00 a.m. until noon and from 1:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. and on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. until noon.
