Tickets now available for Decorah Chorale's Thanksgiving benefit concert

With Thanksgiving  just two months away, and many already thinking about, and making plans for a wonderful Thanksgiving meal with family and friends, the Decorah Chorale is making plans for a fundraiser to help more people enjoy the day.

Each year the United Methodist Church in Decorah serves a community Thanksgiving meal for those with us without the means or companionship the rest of us may enjoy.  The Decorah Chorale wants to help in that effort, by presenting an evening of social gathering and music on Sunday, November 10th.  The evening will begin with a 6:30 - 7:30 PM social hour (cash bar and complimentary desserts/hors  d'oeuvres) with music provided by "Two Toes and a Thumb".  At 7:30 PM, the Chorale will present an informal concert (our favorites from past concerts) with "just a taste" of the Christmas music selected for this year's "Home For Christmas" benefit concert for Habitat for Humanity.

The event will be held at the new, upstairs reception hall at T-Bock's in downtown Decorah (a chair-lift is scheduled to be installed in October).  Only 160 tickets are available, and can be purchased from any Chorale member, at Java John's or the Oneota Co-Op.  All proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated to the Thanksgiving meal, in an effort to expand their out-reach to elderly shut-ins in the Decorah area.  Ticket purchase price is $15 or 2/$25.
