Park-Rec Department begins on-line voting for "Name the New Park"

The Decorah Parks and Recreation Board has begun its poll to determine the name of its newest park.

The public can vote for their favorite name on the Park and Rec website (http://www.decorahia.org), on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/DecorahParkRec), or at the Park Rec office. Voting will close at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2nd.

There are three names selected as semi-finalists in the contest:
--Will Baker Athletic Fields
--Riverbend Fields
--Tavener's Fields.

The new recreational facility s located adjacent to Will Baker Park on Pulpit Rock Road and includes 20 acres of land that is being used for a variety of activities including tee ball, soccer, and flag football.
