Banned Books Week starts Monday - opportunities for celebrating freedom

Banned Books Week 2013 starts Monday, celebrating not only the freedom to read but the freedom to choose what to read.

Decorah Community Schools, Decorah Public Library, Dragonfly Books, Upstart Crow Theatreworks, and the Preus Library at Luther College are joining forces with the Luther College Center Stage Series to promote community book discussions about Ray Bradbury's "Fahrenheit 451" between now and February 21st, 2014, when a stage presentation of Fahrenheit 451 will be held.  

Sets of book discussion books will be available for local book groups to check out at the Decorah Public Library. The Library will also screen the film adaptation in January or early February.
