5:00 p.m. Thursday is the deadline for candidates to file nomination papers for City of Decorah offices

The deadline for filing nomination papers for a spot on the November ballot for City of Decorah races is 5:00 p.m. Thursday.

As of Wednesday, 12 candidates have filed nomination papers:

--DECORAH MAYOR: Don Arendt and Jim Mc Intosh.

--DECORAH CITY COUNCIL AT LARGE: Incumbent Gary Rustad

--DECORAH CITY COUNCIL WARD #1:  Jarrad Walter and Randy Schissel

--DECORAH CITY COUNCIL WARD #2: Jody Niess.

--DECORAH CITY COUNCIL WARD #3: Paul Wanless

--DECORAH CITY COUNCIL WARD #4: Bill Wagner and Matthew Gausman

--DECORAH CITY COUNCIL WARD #5: Marion Pruitt-Jefferson and Chuck Lore

--DECORAH PARK-REC BOARD (Two openings): Only Cindy Albers had filed papers as of Wednesday morning
