The Decorah Rotary Club has made a $2,500 contribution to Gundersen Global Partners – Nicaragua.

The Central American project began in 2008 with a goal to create a global healthcare model for underserved regions by developing long-term sustainable community-to-community partnerships.  The Decorah Rotary Club's donation will go towards providing clean drinking water, educational opportunities, and improved eye care and medical care in rural coffee farming communities in the Matagalpa region of Nicaragua.

The Decorah Rotary Club's next fundraising event for local scholarships, community development, and international projects will be the 2nd Annual Loop de Loop Half Marathon/5K on Saturday, September 28th at 8:30 a.m.  Information can be found on the Decorah Rotary Club's website: www.decorahrotary.org
