North Winneshiek School Board approves early retirement package details

The North Winneshiek School Board Monday night approved an early retirement plan for qualified teachers.  
 
The purpose of the early retirement plan, according to a statement by the school district, is "to provide certified employees the opportunity to retire early that will allow for an orderly means of attrition of employees and which recognizes employees who have provided many years of service to the District."
 
The plan includes the option of applying $30,000 towards future health insurance payments or taking a $30,000 cash payment.  Teachers have until Wednesday, October 9th, to apply for the early retirement plan.
