Ten candidates have now filed nomination papers for City of Decorah offices

All seven City of Decorah elections now have candidates who have filed for a spot on the ballot.

In the 5th Ward, Marion Pruitt-Jefferson and Chuck Lore will face off.  In the 4th Ward, Matthew Gausman has filed nomination papers.  Incumbent Paul Wanless has filed nomination papers in the 3rd Ward.  Jody Niess has filed nomination papers in the 2nd Ward.  Jarrad Walter and Randy Schissel will face off in the 1st Ward.  At large city council member Gary Rustad will run for re-election after filing nomination papers at City Hall.

Finally, incumbent mayor Don Arendt will be opposed by challenger Jim Mc Intosh.

There could still be other candidates listed on the November ballot--people have until next Thursday afternoon to file nomination papers with the City Clerk.
