Decorah makes another national "Top List"

Mother Earth News is the latest national publication to name Decorah to a "Best of" list.

In the case of Mother Earth News, it's a list of "9 Great Places You've (Maybe) Never Heard Of."   The magazine says "The town embraces prosperity, environmental stewardship, and social and cultural vitality, without assuming any one of these qualities outweighs the others."

Of course, it didn't hurt that Decorah has a connection to "Mother Earth News."  The Pepperfield Project's David Cavagnaro is a writer, photographer and contributor to the magazine.  He is quoted in the magazine article as saying Decorah "is easy to get around, has an enormous amount of cultural diversity, is full of friendly people, is in a scenically gorgeous area, and has among the highest percentage of park and trail acres of any community in the United States."
